Wake Up with S.U.M.Church!!!

Our Children's Ministry is kicking off the new school year by waking up the children of our church at the crack of dawn with a little craziness! Charlie & Annie were the lucky targets last Friday. They first burst into Charlie's room (6:00a.m.) with a birthday muffin & of course a Happy Birthday Song! The next Target was Annie! They dressed her up like a pretty princess (her favorite you know). They had each of them read announcements for church, dance a little jig, and when they spotted their guitars.....they both played a little tune. I don't think we have told you about their guitar lessons, that will be our next post. Be on the look out. They both LOVE it! Luckily they left the real Glover Princess alone. No telling what would have happened if they would have disturbed Miss. Lucy's beauty rest. Charlie & Annie were both great sports & it was a lot of fun. We probably live the farthest from church, so we sure appreciated Joleen & Betty Sue (Angie & Amy) making the drive at the crack of dark thirty, so the Glover kids could be included in this new season of fun! Maybe they are just trying to get the Glovers to improve on our Wednesday night attendance.

Charlie's Birthday # 7 so far.....

Charlie turned 7 yesterday! He was perfectly excited and appreciative of every minute. He woke up to cinnamon rolls that his mom burned on the bottom. He got to open two gifts before school. When we wished him a happy birthday he said " well not really Mom"... He was waiting until the actual time of his birth. I think it was around three p.m. We were sitting waiting for Lucy at dance & he was counting down on his watch. "It's my birthday now!" I (Mom) went up and had lunch with him at school. Can you see his special birthday badge? He wanted to take cookies just like Lucy did.
We went to the Pizza Palace for dinner with Nana, Poppy, Grammy, Aunt Rosemary, Uncle Jimmy, Aunt Lidia, Claude, baby Sam, Lucy, Annie, Mom, & Dad! We had a great time. Next Friday we will go fishing at the Park with a few of his friends! Birthdays last a while around here!

A little more Lu Lu!

I know you have all had enough with her birthday etc... but I just had to add this crazy little outfit she wore to school on Thursday. The hot pink cowboy boots are from Nana and the hot pink bandana skirt is from Mrs. Joy, Bella, & Preston! She sure thought she was something else. How do you like her pose? She also started back to ballet and tap. 4 of her little playgroup friends are taking with her. This is great since they are seperated by a year now for school due to Lucy's birth date. She loves ballet! "Ballerina" as she calls it! This is Lucy, Charley, Chloe, Mia and Delaney.

New Baby!

Here is our little Boy!!!! He looks like he is really thinking just like my Daddy, with that little hand pressed up against his forhead. He should be here shortly after the New Year. We took Lucy to this appointment, but she was not very impressed. Charlie was very disappointed he did not get to go, so we will take him next time. Maybe he will have a greater appreciation of this amazing technology. We will keep you posted on his progress. Everything looks great. We had a few worries with Lucy, so I was a little worried at first with this pregnancy, but everything has looked wonderful so far. We are due sometime the first week of January... Can't wait. Charlie is excited to be sharing his room.

Lucy's Cinderella Party!

Well, I had grand plans for Lucy's birthday! Annie was invited to a party with this theme when she was 4. Our friends the Tedders had this Cinderella party for their daughter Natalie. The children came dressed in old clothes and were given feather dusters to clean the house. Then the Fairy God mother appeared with a bibbidi bobbidi boo and they all got dressed up in dress up for the ball. While they were eating cake Prince Charming appeared with the glass slipper on the pillow. Natalie's Prince Charming was her Daddy. He tried the slipper on all of the little girls and it did not fit any of them until he got to his little girl Natalie. You should have seen her face. it was priceless. Absolutely storybook, and did I get some great pictures of Natalie & her Daddy having a special dance. Well...... I thought I would change it up a little bit for Lucy, and I had Charlie be Prince Charles. The most important piece to this story is that Lucy received a brand new Jasmine costume for her birthday. She had not taken it off much in nearly three days. It was definitely her favorite gift. She even got the shoes to go with it. I tried to sneak the shoe off of her foot for "Prince Charles" to use. As soon as he started trying the shoe on all of her little friends (as was in his script), she flipped out! That was her new favorite shoe & it appeared to her that her brother was trying to give it away to someone else. We had melt down city for sure. Had I only used a little common sense , and an old dress up shoe, we might have had that perfect magical moment also. Our moment was still memorable & pretty funny. Charlie tried hard to stay in character & carry out his duties even with Lucy losing her mind. He did a great job. She eventually pulled it together and was luckily smiling again before her guests had to leave. Enjoy the pictures. They are a little out of sequence. I still have a lot to learn with these blogs. Charlie's birthday is Thursday. We will probably have many celebrations again. He is going fishing with some friends for his party on Thursday the 28th. You can check back in to see if I have posted the pictures.

Lucy's week long Birthday Celebration!

As usual...we have been celebrating for days around here. We began celebrating on Lucy's actual birthday, Sunday September 9th. We went to crispers, one of Lucy's favorite spots for lunch. Luckily we were able to talk her out of "Old McDonalds" which was her first choice. The whole family joined us as you can see from the pictures. I think we got everyone but me & Kev. We will have to work on that. We had cupcakes for desert. We went to Ollie Koala's ( kind of like a Chuckie cheese) with our friends the Gannam's for dinner. Lucy & Charlie love any opporunity to see Bella & Preston. Annie loves them a lot too. And we had more ..... cupcakes! The top picture is Lucy Celebrating at school . We made BIG chocolate chip cookies to share! She thought cup cakes were too messy for school. We had a Cinderella Party with all of her playgroup friends & more on Thursday. That will deserve a post of its own. I will try & add that one tomorrow! Oh my did I learn a lesson!

Annie had a Blast at Camp! Me Too!

Top photo is Annie with her counselor Courtney. In the orange overalls (on her way to Clemson) is Elizabeth with Annie. Elizabeth... is our friend & babysitter from our church who was also working as an adult volunteer, and the rest are mostly Annie, Ali, & Natalie !

Annie had a great time at camp! I was afraid I might have cramped her style by working as an adult volunteer, but I actually think she was glad I was there! Yea!! She is so independent I did not think she needed me, but I wanted to go. She took her good friend from softball, "Ali". She and Ali and Natalie (her friend from church), had a wonderful time. They especially loved their counselors. I was quite impressed with the entire camp. The praise & worship times were my favorite. I loved watching all of the kids dance & sing. I was so impressed with the number of middle school and highschool kids there. Everyday consisted of praise & worship time, swimming, small group (usually twice a day, small group was like a bible study), and a message. They also had several different activities to choose from throughout the week, such as roller blading, cloud watching, drama, & arts & crafts etc... I am so glad we went. I am sure Annie will be eager to go next year.
