10U All Stars! District Champions!!!

Annie is playing for the 10U Creeks All Stars. This weekend they went undefeated to win the District Championship!!!! The team played fabulous! They did not let one run get by during their last 2 games. 12 innings without being scored on! Can you believe that. Annie had been in a little bit of a batting slump during their last tournament, but not for this one. Her bat was alive!!! The coach bought a brand new (expensive) bat for his daughter. They let Annie use it during this tournament. Of course she thinks it is all the bat and cannot stop talking about it. We may try to paint one of her old bats and tell her we bought the same bat. The tournament was a lot of fun. The group of girls, coaches and parents that make up this team are all wonderful. Even Lucy and Charlie are enjoying playing with all of the siblings. Now the team will travel south to compete in the State tournament on July 12th.

Memorial Day Weekend & Special Visitors

We had a busy, but fun Memorial Day Weekend. Annie is playing with the 10U Creeks All Star team, and they had their first tournament this weekend. David and Sarah got up at 5am (in Atlanta) on Saturday, and managed to get to Annie's first game here in Jax, at 12noon. No speeding tickets either! A few other weekend highights - Annie went to the Faith Hill/Tim McGraw concert on Sunday night. We had a family cookout Saturday night, and celebrated a belated birthday for Uncle David (35 yrs old by the way). David, Sarah, Poppy, and Grammy took Lucy and Charlie to the Beach on Monday, and Laura and I went to the Faith Hill/Tim McGraw concert on Monday night (yes they played two nights in Jax). Here's a few pics from the weekend!

Charlie, The Graduate

Yes...it has happend...another Glover graduates! Charlie graduated this month, with all the rights and priviledges thereunto this diploma implies...ok, ok, it is just from Pre-K, but it is exciting nonetheless. In a few short months, Charlie will start Kindergarten. Check out that diploma in his hand and the medal around his neck - is he happy or what?
